Manager Logistics

The Manager Logistics is accountable for delivery of goods and services to customer from executable order until delivery. You are responsible for managing proactively customer orders within logistic constraints. As a Manager Logistics you are responsible for the flow of goods and related information of IDA. Your challenge is to deliver in full, on time, (quantity and quality) against lowest possible cost. You manage the logistic cost elements like stock accuracy, capacity and operational cost. You have to influence supply chain partners and all functions within IDA impacted by the order-to-delivery process, without overtaking their responsibilities.

The Manager Logistics manages the Delivery Team; SC Planners (4 FTE), SC Administrators (6 FTE) and Warehouse employees (19 FTE). You make sure the team can perform in all aspects. You manage delivery at customer according to Incoterms. You define the strategy and plan resources, take care for regulatory approval of assets and activities, plan activities, call-off orders for goods and services and timely delivery to customers. The Delivery Manager supports on Sales contracts regarding physical aspects of the warehouse, transport and documentation.

You are driving the continuous improvement culture in the process from order to delivery of goods and services. Your main drivers are speed and simplicity in IDA business processes against lowest possible costs. You prepare subjects thoroughly and provide excellent management information, which enables management to take the right decisions quickly. You participate actively in improvement projects.

In order to secure success in your responsabilities above you mainly focus on the following tasks:

• Lead and develop your teams (Planning, Warehouse and Transport)
• Define Logistic Strategy
• Develop resource strategies (material - people - equipment)
• Plan inbound & outbound distribution and monitor supplier performance
• Facility Management

Our ideal candidate has :

• Bachelor degree in logistics or supply chain management (for example APICS)
• A minimum of three years working experience in a similar role (leadership - international - GDP/GMP environment )
• Knowledge of and experience with shipment procedures in relevant, intercontinental, areas of the world (Africa, America's and Middle East)
• Strong projectmanagement skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English and Dutch)
